There are many ways that you can participate in FNF activities. In fact, one of the greatest things that FNF can offer you, in addition to support, is the sense of actively doing something to improve the situation for you and your children.
FNF's best resource is its community of Members and Volunteers and the joint experience and support these individuals get from each other. Your experiences could help others too.
You can join and become a Member, apply to be a volunteer to learn more and help others or, if you wish, fundraise or donate to FNF to help us continue the work we do.

Membership is open to anyone who needs help and support over separation and access to their children as well as those who have an interest in the work of Families Need Fathers. Our members include fathers, mothers, resident and non-resident parents, grandparents, new partners and friends as well as supporters of our cause. There are many advantages to becoming a Member including access to the Members' Area, where you will find our detailed, FNF Factsheets and other useful information. Membership also gives you access to our online Forum where you can share your experiences with others and ask questions free of charge to participating lawyers as well as other volunteers. We will also keep you updated with the latest developments in the field through our monthly newsletter and ask you for your views through surveys. If you do not want to become a Member, you can register free of charge for our monthly newsletter and other updates by clicking below. You will also be asked to give us your opinion through our surveys. You can control how much mail you receive in your account settings. FNF is a charity committed to proving reliable help and support, available at Local Branch Meetings, on the Helpline and via the main areas of the website. The Forum is also an excellent source of advice from lawyers, McKenzie Friends and other contributors like yourself who have travelled down this often very difficult and painful road. In order to fund the help that we provide we positively encourage you to join. The small membership fee that we ask for is the only way to ensure the charity's future. Your support will make a difference! Each year FNF responds to around 200,000 service requests from parents and families who are often in great distress. In most cases, we are the only people who really understand and can offer real help and support based on experience. We rely on support from memberships and donations from people who believe that children should not face any barriers preventing their relationship with both their parents after separation. Click below to choose donation amount, we appreciate anything you can give. You can make a one-off payment or you can tick 'make this recurring' in the PayPal form to donate a monthly amount automatically. Volunteers are central to the way FNF operates. It is likely that you received help from a volunteer when you first approached FNF, and may feel that you can now offer something in return. No one else can offer the same level of support and information that our members can - because our volunteers know the difficulties relating to parental separation and often have experienced them themselves. Even if you don't feel you know all the 'ins' and 'outs', a sympathetic ear may be exactly what someone in trouble needs. As a volunteer you will gain great satisfaction in actively doing something positive towards achieving a fairer deal for parents and children after separation - or in helping others through some of the tough times that you may yourself have experienced.
We need sympathetic listeners who can help callers and guide them to the right support and services
Becoming a helpline volunteer. You will need to be selected, trained, abide by policy and procedures and accept advice and support. But there is an enormous need for this service and great satisfaction in helping. Become a telephone contact.
