Hello , Welcome to our furth July issue. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has been responding fantastically to a range of surveys. The last year has had rather more of these than usual, partly because of the Covid pandemic. Some of these have been substantial, but they do have an effect, as they did in the recent House of Lords debate on Child Maintenance. On this subject, the National Audit Office are carrying out a study of the value for money to the taxpayer of the Child Maintenance Service (CMS). We have already shared the brief survey that they have put out with you and repeat it below in case you've not had a chance to complete it - it really is short. This needs to be done by Friday 30th July 2021. We are also asking you to complete a longer survey that will enable us to give further direct feedback to NAO on more detailed questions. Your support in this would also be very much appreciated and it will help us in our discussions with CMS about how to reform the system.
Separately, yesterday a number of our Helpline volunteers had a social get-together following the relaxation of the Covid-19 lockdown. It was fantastic to spend some time with this amazing, dedicated group. Thanks to all our Helpliners! Next week we hope to catch-up online with our branch voluteers.
Thank you for your support! With best wishes,
