Surviving Separation - a Free Online Course for Divorced or Separated Parents

On 23rd February, there will be the first session of a new course developed by members of the FNF East London Branch which will benefit all parents suffering from the effects of separation and divorce and particularly separation from their children, so will suit all those at any stage of their journey.

The branch will be happy to accept attendees with a background in course facilitation or Zoom conference presentation who feel they would like to be part of a broader rollout in future.

Participants will be expected to attend all six sessions which will consist of one 2-3 hr session once a week. There will be simple homework activities, usually consisting of watching internet videos, observing behaviour or reflecting on your past relationships, and participants will be expected to complete a feedback form after each session to assist in improving and developing the course.

The course will take place on Zoom so participants will need a laptop with this software installed or a suitable other device, and a quiet room to participate effectively.

The content of the course is a reflection of the problems raised by attendees at the East London Branch of FNF but are far from unique to separated parents.

The course will take place from 23rd Feb – 6th April, on Tuesdays starting at 6.30pm until approximately 9pm. It is completely free and open up to 15 members to Beta test the content and presentation. Eventually, in its final form, it is hoped that it can be made available to all branches to present locally or online following facilitator training.
